Tell People “I AM Willing”

Recently the Lord spoke this phrase to my heart, and I believe it was in the context of healing & wholeness.

Tell people, “I AM willing.”

This reminds me of a beautiful passage in Scripture, when Jesus interacts with a leper (in Mark 1):

A man with leprosy came to Him and begged Him on his knees, ‘If You are willing, You can make me clean.’

Jesus was indignant. He reached out His hand and touched the man. ‘I am willing,’ He said. ‘Be clean!’

Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.

Jesus is saying to us today, “I AM WILLING. Quit doubting this!” There must be a reason that Jesus became ‘indignant’ when the leper said to Him, If You are willing. Jesus must’ve been like, Of COURSE I am willing!

This is a powerful reminder to us today. It seems lately, there is so much brokenness around us — not just in people’s health, but also families, hearts, relationships, finances, mental battles, and of course in our nation / world.

But God’s desire is our wholeness. We shouldn’t doubt that. We must believe this as His kids, in order to receive healing & bring His hope into the world. And the first place to apply this principle is our own lives.

Do you believe God wants COMPLETE wholeness for you & your family?
Do you believe He desires to see you walk in His fullness, including in your physical body?
Do you believe He wants to unify your family, your church, or even your own mind?
Do you believe He will supply ALL your needs, according to His glorious riches in Jesus?

There are Scriptures for every battle we face — every struggle we encounter. One of the BEST practices to incorporate in our lives is to look through Scripture (or even Google what the Bible says about your struggle!) to find out what He has to say about our situation!!

Do you have mental battles? Worry and anxiety about the future, depression when life doesn’t turn out how you expect? He tells us in 1 Corinthians 2 that WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST.

“For who has known the mind of the Lord
    so as to instruct Him?”

But we have the mind of Christ.

Remind yourself of that & speak it out loud until you see it start to bear fruit in your life! {For more verses on the mind of Christ, visit this link.

Do you struggle physically? Jesus says that BY HIS STRIPES, WE ARE HEALED. But do you believe it? Then act as if you are healed! Don’t make your physical struggle your identity. I’ve done this, and it’s a recipe for walking in defeat. He may give you a specific healing protocol (like quitting alcohol for a season, a certain cleanse, changing your diet/lifestyle, or even forgiveness & confession of sins). He did this with many people in Scripture, so pray and ask for wisdom, and then apply what He’s showing you to your life. I’ve done this & seen some incredible changes in my physical body.

One of the biggest hindrances to our prayers, I believe, is that we don’t discern the will of God!! His Word is His will….. so HUNT through His Scriptures for His promises to you & your family.

We must become 100% confident in what He’s promised us, or we’ll give into the temptation to doubt that He wants us whole, healed, & walking in His truth.

Did Jesus Himself not say,

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

So when we feel robbed, broken, and defeated — who is the author of that? Our enemy, not our Father! Jesus wants us to have His fullness of life, not broken pieces.

Many times when people encountered Jesus in the Bible, they received instant & miraculous healing… or they were set free after obeying His specific instructions to change their life.

We must be willing to do what He tells us to to be set free — and then live it out. If He lays it on your heart to quit a specific activity in your life — which is sin to you, a stumbling block in your walk with Him — then quit it. No excuses. Lay it down. It’s NEVER worth what it promises! And you forfeit proximity to our Father & much personal liberty by clinging to it. Lay it down and see Him set you free. I can’t tell you how many times He’s put His finger on something in my life {a painful experience at first} to have me realize how much that thing was hindering my walk with Him & my personal freedom once I obeyed.

Many times we don’t understand His promises or His counsel until AFTER we’ve obeyed Him. He may whisper to us “Forgive”, but what He isn’t sharing is that you’ll find wholeness and freedom in future relationships when you let go of what others did to hurt you.

SO believe this today: He is willing. Be made whole.

He came to give you & I abundant life, life brimming over with His fullness! Yes, we must reject counterfeit gods — other unbiblical pathways that promise wholeness in our lives — but only because He wants to give us something much better: Himself!

Believe Him today, and begin living free.
