My Valentine’s Day Surprise!
In honor of one of my favorite holidays, I’m announcing today that I have a NEWLY-DESIGNED WEBSITE 🙂 I redesigned it last weekend, tinkered with it, & finally went live yesterday. You guys are some of the first to know!! Hooray!
I plan to continue updating & adding new items, so keep watching to see how it evolves. I l-o-v-e the minimalist look & feel of this design. Thanks for checking it out! I hope you like the new changes 🙂

Our Valentine’s Day
I hope y’all are having an awesome Valentine’s Day!!! We’re having more of a “Valentine’s Weekend” because of the busyness of this week. Here’s a little peek into what our celebration entailed (our 3rd as husband & wife):
This morning, I made my hubby gluten-free “Strawberry Protein Pancakes” – a delicious recipe I found on Pinterest that was WAY better than expected. The recipe called for maple syrup in the batter, so no need to add any on top ~ plus it has protein in it! What more could you want?
My husband is a hardcore romantic (Who are we kidding? So am I)… so when he came home last night with these gorgeous flowers, I swooned. He knows my favorite color, & I love the hydrangeas (I think that’s what they are). He did good!
Because we’re gonna go on our “day date” tomorrow, today we stuck close to home. The weather was GORGEOUS out, so we went on a nice long walk & talked about things on our hearts. Brian knows me well ~ I love to talk with him!!
We then played & jumped on our trampoline for awhile, under this lovely pecan tree. Here was our view laying down:
Then my hubby made us a DELICIOUS steak/salmon/vino dinner (I couldn’t help – his orders!), so I got to sit down & enjoy some writing 🙂
We finished off our night with some homemade dark chocolate-covered strawberries coated with sliced almonds (my little contribution), then cuddled up on our trampoline with a blanket to talk about life & our dreams under the stars (Brian’s idea!). See? I told you he was romantic!! The air was cool outside, so it made our night that much more cozy.
Needless to say, Brian hit a home run today. I loved it!!! What a wonderful, laid-back, fun Valentine’s Day. I hope you guys enjoyed yours!
I also wanna encourage you – whether you’re single, married, “it’s complicated”, or somewhere in between – that God’s placed all kinds of people in our lives. You don’t have to be coupled up to enjoy Valentine’s Day! Yes, it’s a wonderful holiday, but more than that it’s a celebration of love & showing that love to each other.
If you haven’t already, I hope you’ll consider ways you can bless & love on the people God’s placed around you… be it your boss/coworkers, friends & fam, neighbors, or maybe even the person behind you at the checkout line.
Today may be the “Love Holiday”, but thankfully love’s in season all year long. I hope we’ll keep growing in love & learning how to better share it with each other every day.
